dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to improve the sight word acquisition of kindergarten students. The measurement tool was the kindergarten sight word list from the Anne Arundel County Public Schools curriculum. This study involved use of a quasi experimental design to measure the mean number of sight words acquired over a six-week treatment period. There were eleven students in the control group and twelve students in the experimental group. Students in the experimental group were instructed with Snap Words and did increase their sight word knowledge. However, students in the control group, who were instructed without Snap Words,increased their sight word knowledge significantly more.en_US
