Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the Les Mills GRIT™ exercise program had an effect on the running endurance of its participants. Participants underwent a pre- and posttest on a treadmill in order to determine their 5k performance times before and after their six-week exercise program respectively. It was determined that the exercise program did benefit its participants with a reduction of their 5k performance times. More research needs to be conducted in order to study whether the GRIT™ exercise program is effective in reducing the performance times of endurance runners.
