Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine if there are exercise techniques that reduce the risk of bodily injury in college athletes at a Division III college in Towson, Maryland. A descriptive study was used to determine the effects of six different exercise techniques on the college athletes. Surveys were given to a total of ten participants in the study; nine were coaches and one was an athletic trainer. The null hypothesis, that no injury prevention techniques reduce the risk of injury for athletes, was not supported. Research in this area should continue, as there is no clear technique that best demonstrates the reduction of bodily injury in athletes.
