Faherty, Joshua2016-02-242016-02-242014-07http://hdl.handle.net/11603/2309The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of an extracurricular Gamers Club on the academic achievement of middle school students. The measurement tool was Grade Point Average (GPA). The study used a pretest/posttest design to compare 2nd quarter grade before the club to the 3rd quarter grade after participants had participated in the club. There was no significant difference in students GPA scores pre/post participation in the Gamers Club. Further research should be conducted with larger sample sizes to further confirm the data collected in order to evaluate further the impact of extracurricular gaming on students’ academic achievement.25 p.en-USCollection may be protected under Title 17 of the U.S. Copyright Law.
