The instrument used in this study was a survey that was adapted from an existing survey in order to determine reasons why these duties are not performed on a regular basis. Thirty of one-hundred faculty members were surveyed for this study, and the selected faculty members were selected to replicate as close as possible the overall composition of the school (race, gender, subject area, teaching experience, etc).
