The groups were made up of seventh and eighth grade students taking PAR reading intervention. The students were from a public school and both groups received the same instruction. Data for the research was collected over an entire school year. The results of the study showed PAR intervention has a positive influence on eighth grade students’ MSA test results. Further research could be conducted to explore if PAR intervention affects Gates-MacGinitie assessments over a longer period of time.31 p.en-USCollection may be protected under Title 17 of the U.S. Copyright Law.
