In doing so, it is important to know how the phosphorylation state of the FOXO-1 proteins causes the degeneration of muscular-skeletal fibers \cite{Wimmer}. In this paper, we will be modeling biochemical behaviors involving the FOXO-1 protein family and its effects in muscle atrophy.
