Objective: To conduct a cross-sectional survey of PHR past, present, and future trends. In addition, to investigating the world of operational patient-centered PHR for input on several matters such as usability, usefulness, and user perspective on these matters. Results: PHR systems are still evolving. PHR have the potential of improving the healthcare system. However, adoption rates have not reached critical mass.
