Convey, Margaret P.2024-10-082024-10-081986-12http://hdl.handle.net/11603/36622The effluent from a local industrial plant was tested for toxicity using the seven-day Ceriodaphnia survival and reproduction test. One test determined the No Observable Effect Concentration to be greater than or equal to 25% effluent. A subsequent test determined the seven-day LC50 to be 43.1% effluent. Possible reasons for the variation in results are examined. Concentrations of effluent constituents are compared to toxicity values from the literature to identify possible sources of toxicity.71 pagesen-USToxicity Screening of an Industrial Effluent Using Aquatic OrganismsText
