Meadows, Lucien D.2016-03-312016-03-312010http://hdl.handle.net/11603/2605When I enrolled in Barbara Roswell’s Spring 2009 section of ENG 206: Professional Communication, I initially felt out of place, for I was a Psychology/Creative Writing major and Creative Structures minor amongst Business majors. However, Professor Roswell cultivated a supportive, encouraging, and hard-working environment, where we applied each project to our individual goals and studies. So, when the upcoming assignment was to write a “How-To” essay, I moved away from the standard “How to Write a Resume” or “How to Prepare for Your Interview” suggestions in our textbook, and I allowed myself to play with the “how-to” format through my sociocultural experiences and knowledge. Thus, I crafted this piece in the darkest hours before dawn, as symphonic chords of the finest German metal sounded. I humbly present it to you, Goths and Mundanes.
