The assignment forced students to actively construct an interpretation of an event that other historians had ignored, revealing subjective complexities central to historical thinking.Item My Kungomo, an Independent "Modern Girl": Family Stories from the Japanese Occupation of Korea and World War II(2023-01-01) Kim, Hyun Joo; Oyen, Meredith; History; Historical StudiesThe historical discourse surrounding Korea during the Japanese occupation and World War II has been dominated by stories of war and politics.
