Item A SYSTEMATIC ASSESSMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF QUALITY FOR HEALTHCARE ADMINISTRATION SYSTEMS(2017-01-01) Patil, Ketan Dnyandeo; Koru, Gunes; Information Systems; Information SystemsSoftware quality plays a determining role in the successful adoption of healthcare administration systems. Software bugs can substantially decrease user satisfaction and diminish project success by causing various problems such as reliability, safety, usability, and security issues. Therefore, this study focuses on (1) identifying applicable and effective software verification techniques through a careful assessment of established software quality control standards; and (2) developing a prioritization strategy to identify bugs and their impact through the application of testing techniques to assess the quality of a real-life software system used for healthcare administration purposes. In this study, we have identified software testing methods and techniques based on quality control standards to assess and improve the quality of healthcare administration systems. This process helped in identifying a large number of implementation flaws and broken functionalities using a prioritized testing approach.
