Abstract
Her mother is Jewish, her father is Christian—and more recently, a seminarian and pastor-in-training—and she is disillusioned with the tradition of church and organized religion. But for whatever reason, Laura could never truly turn her back on her faith. Using her relationships with her parents, experiences with mental illness and denomination-jumping, and three years in high school dedicated to John Lennon, Laura tries to define her own spirituality and explore how it defines her identity as a whole.
