Abstract

As small museums are faced with the increasing challenge to stay relevant in a changing world, our stories and collections can come to life again when they are related to topics relevant to the lives of people today. This paper focuses on the Sandy Spring Museum in Maryland, connecting the community's history to the contemporary topic of reuse through educational programming.
