The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of choice on the resolution of physical aggression and de-escalation of anger in emotionally disturbed children. The sample consisted of five emotionally disturbed students in a least restrictive school environment in the Baltimore, Maryland metropolitan area. Several interventions were used to address behavior issues with these emotionally disturbed children, and the impact of these behavior interventions were documented and analyzed. The study was conducted over a nine week time period, and the chosen interventions produced varied results. It was determined that significant improvements were made in 4 of the 5 students.en_US
