Abstract
This report summarizes the activities and results from research conducted during the Spring semester 2015 as part of the BreakingGround supported Sociology course “Applied Sociology: Putting the Sociological Imagination into Practice Locally” at the University of Maryland , Baltimore County (UMBC). The students, Steven Andres-Aquino, Mary Hines, Colette Perrine, and Victoria Skinner, are enrolled in the Applied Sociology Master’s program at UMBC and performed the research activities under the direction of Marina Adler, the instructor of the course.
