Blackman-Harris time window is used as a broadband excitation to calculate the RF output power of a photodetector. A non-uniform time-stepping is implemented to capture rapidly changing fields and currents inside the photodetector. The comparisons of numerical results with experiments confirm the high accuracy of the proposed approach that yields a two-orders-of-magnitude reduction in computation time.en_US
