dc.description.abstractOn this episode we hear a rebroadcast of a 2022 UMBC Social Science Forum Lecture organized by the Department of Modern Languages, Linguistics & Intercultural Communication and cosponsored by the Department of Media & Communication Studies; the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering; the Department of Information Systems, and the Center for Social Science Scholarship. The lecture, which took place in October, featured the work of two linguists, David J. Peterson and Dr. Jessie Sams. David and Jessie currently work full time as “conlangers,” or creators of invented languages.
