Abstract
The project "Multi-Photon Entanglement and Quantum Teleportation" concerns a series of experimental and theoretical investigations on multi-photon entangled states and the applications, for example, quantum teleportation. The objective of this research is to probe the foundations of quantum;theory of entanglement and its fundamental roles in quantum computing and quantum information processing. This research will definitely benefit many scientific and engineering discipline applications. This report is for the first year investigation of a long term basic research program. The efforts of the first year research are very important for the achievement of our long term goal. Based on the successful results of the first year research, a novel teleportation experiment which has the ability to provide a true "100% teleportation" shall be conducted in the second year.
