American Sign Language (ASL) Storytelling is a traditional form of folklore passed down through generations of Deaf individuals, historically face-to-face. It includes jokes, sign play, and various forms of storytelling. Through technological advances in video sharing through social media and on mobile devices, Life and Deaf is a website and app that gives the Deaf community a designated space to share their humor and stories in their own visual language, ASL. The visual design of the site allows the Deaf community to easily view and post jokes and stories that directly relate to Deaf culture and the Deaf experience.en_US
