The purpose of this study was to determine if a warm up and stretching protocol would have an effect on the injury rate of lower extremity injuries. The goal was to help determine what warm up and stretching technique would help athletic performance and injury prevention. The null hypothesis, that the warm up and stretching protocol will have no effect on the rate of lower extremity injuries on field hockey female athletes, was supported. Research in this area should continue, as there is very little information available.en
