Proust wrote to remember, Nietzsche to forget. Imagine the visual diagram of the boundary between the structure of remembrances and active forgetting. It does not appear blurry, but rather as a Mobius strip, a Kline bottle: a continuum. Forgetting depends on remembering something to forget. Remembering depends on finding something forgotten. Blogs and blogging now threaten to add yet another twist to this logic.
