dc.description.abstractWe present results on the temporal properties of the state transition from the soft to hard state in the new black hole transient XTE J1650–500. After MJD 52232, the power law index hardened, rms amplitude of the power spectrum increased significantly, and QPOs were observed. We also found enhanced lags during the transition as observed in Cyg X-1. The enhanced lags may be due to the presence of a larger Comptonizing area of the base of a jet, but another possibility is also discussed. We also show the correlation between the peak frequencies of the fit components, which is consistent with previous reports of such correlations for various kinds of X-ray binaries.
