dc.description.abstractIn this study, members of four racial and ethnic groups in Baltimore shared their experiences in living with hypertension and diabetes. Participants identified environmental, social, and behavioral barriers to attaining good health, discussed the extent to which health messages communicated by government, providers, and the media impacted their health behaviors, and made recommendations for culturally appropriate health care delivery and outreach.en
