dc.description.abstractOur respected elders, who harbor a lifetime of experiences and wisdom, are a vital part of our communities. Unfortunately, it’s a sobering reality that approximately one in six individuals aged 60 and above experienced some form of abuse in 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the problem, with incidents of elder abuse seeing a concerning increase. It’s high time we took a closer look at the issues surrounding elder abuse and how we can ensure safety at home for our seniors.
