Despite his status as a Utero, Aleksy Przybylski has managed to stay in school and keep up with his classmates. Until he is kicked out with no warning. After securing a lucrative job at the Vitro library and befriending a Vitro by the name of Annie, Aleksy begins to wonder why he was able to keep up -- and what his mother isn't telling him about his past.
