Abstract

This project focuses on a small sampling of the eleven percent of the total population in Kansas City experiencing poverty (United States Census Bureau 2014). The focus of this project is to record and represent the lived experiences of the people living in extreme poverty as well how this group may see themselves in relation to the rest of the population of Kansas City; and what stigmas based on their socioeconomic status affect them and how they see their imaged communities (Anderson, 1991).
