Abstract
Honors Convocation:
Dr. John Silvanus Wilson, Executive Director of the White House Initiative on HBCUs, spoke at the Honors Convocation at Morgan State University. Wilson emphasized the importance of financial aid and alumni support for HBCU students. He aims to channel $1 billion to HBCUs and highlighted the need for alumni contributions to their alma mater.
New Architecture Building:
Groundbreaking ceremony for the Center for the Built Environment and Infrastructure Studies (CBEIS) at Morgan State University. The building, expected to be completed by Fall 2012, will focus on green technology and sustainability. Distinguished guests included Governor Martin O’Malley and university officials.
