Abstract
Michelle Obama's Visit:
First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a campaign event at Morgan State University on September 21, 2012, in support of President Obama's re-election campaign. She emphasized the administration's accomplishments, including doubling the funding for the Pell Grant.
Campus Shooting:
A shooting occurred at the University Student Center on September 12, 2012. Michael Antonio Campbell, the victim, was shot in a bathroom and found critically injured. Kelly Lamont Ellerbee Jr. was later arrested and charged with attempted murder. The incident, reportedly a drug-related dispute, led to increased security measures on campus.
