dc.description.abstract | The increasing resistance of bacteria to traditional antibiotics calls for novel countermeasures. Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an opportunistic pathogen, is intrinsically resistant to several classes of antibiotics. Pseudomonas causes both morbidity and mortality in humans. This project proposes the use of a genetically modified bacteriophage for the complete eradication of resistant Pseudomonas and other bacterial pathogens. | en_US |
