The purpose of this project is to examine postpartum women’s daily PA (both amount and intensity) and its relationship with weight loss and body mass index (BMI). Daily PA level and intensity will be objectively measured in postpartum women by use of a wrist worn physical activity tracker (i.e. Fitbit). Body weight will be measured at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months postpartum. The participants will be categorized by BMI at the initial visit (3-month time point) into normal weight and overweight/obese groups in order to evaluate the impact of body size on PA and weight loss during the postpartum period.en_US
