Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether teachers would do their assigned hall duty if
they were held accountable. Teachers were pre-assigned to an intervention group, in which
attendance was actively monitored by administrators or to a control group. A comparison of
attendance rates pre and post intervention showed significant improvement for all teachers.
There was no difference between treatment and control participants.
