Thesis submitted to the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences of The University of Baltimore in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Interaction Design and Information Architecture
This paper focuses on the use of Extended Reality (XR), encompassing Mixed Reality (MR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality (VR), in the context of users with disabilities. Standards for accessibility design in XR have not yet been ratified by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), yet large global tech companies, such as Meta and Google, are already releasing XR platforms for public consumption.
