Abstract

Acid rain has been declared the environmental issue of the 80's by many environmentalists, scientists, and governmental officials. Those individuals who are familiar with the problem generally agree that many areas of the United States, especially the Northeast and Pennsylvania in particular, are being affected adversely by precipitation which is acidic.
