This research sought to examine the relationship between anxiety felt during practice and anxiety felt during competition. There was no relationship found, p=.12. The inverted-U theory suggests that a moderate amount of pressure is necessary for peak performance. Self-confidence levels can help determine is arousal is interpreted as positive or negative to performance. Future research will examine gender differences in feelings of anxiety, mindfulness training, and self-confidence building at practice.en_US
