Abstract
Refractivity causes ducting of transmitted RF signals over the ocean. There is apparent redundancy in the RF refractivity database for oceanic environments with weather conditions that negatively impact RF systems. Principal Component Analysis is proposed as a method to reduce the redundancy in the RF refractivity database while retaining as much information as possible.
