The purpose of this study was to investigate how the use of observational tools impacts fourth-grade students’ overall behavior. The observational tool used was created strictly for this study and operated on a point-based system. This study involved use of a quasi-experimental design and was conducted over a span of 20 consecutive school days. Participants' behaviors improved significantly with using the observational tool over the 20 days of the study. Research in this area should continue as there is very little information regarding the using observational tools to improve the behavior of fourth-grade students.en_US
