Designing embedded systems can be a complicated task. There are many factors that have to be accounted for before an embedded system can actually work. Also, to develop an embedded system the tools used to design for that system have to be learned. Using OpenCPI framework can be used to help solve some of the issues with developing embedded systems. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate a communication digital up conversion and digital down conversion on the Xilinx Zynq embedded platform through an open source framework named the Open Component Portability Infrastructure (OpenCPI).
