Abstract
2-part webinar originally given October 7 and 9, 2014. It is intended to familiarize attendees with the practical applications of standards and best practices for collection management in an increasingly electronic world. Jointly developed by librarians, system providers, publishers, and other community members, standards and best practices help "grease the wheels" to ensure better interoperability between systems and automate some tedious tasks. Presenters introduce particular standards and describe how they work and their utility in helping libraries manage local and shared collections. Both the recording and the PowerPoint slides are available on the web site.
